Nicotinic acid belongs to vitamin B group, also known as nicotinic acid, vitamin B3. Its molecular formula is C6H5NO2 and its chemical name is pyridine-3-formic acid. It has good thermal stability and can be sublimated. Sublimation method is often used to purify nicotinic acid in industry. Nicotinic acid is white crystal or white crystalline powder, soluble in water, mainly exists in animal viscera and muscle tissues, and there are also trace amounts in fruits and egg yolks. It is one of the 13 essential vitamins for human body.
