Taurine
Taurine (Taurine), also known as β-taurine, was first isolated from cow yellow, hence the name. The appearance is colorless or white inclined crystal, odorless, chemically stable, soluble in organic solvents such as ether, is a non-protein amino acid containing sulfur, exists in a free state in the body, does not participate in the biosynthesis of proteins in the body. Although taurine does not participate in protein synthesis, it is closely related to the metabolism of cystine and cysteine.
